Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was fourteen years old. Aspen Ladd was trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd was able to continue building upon her win in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She finished all of her competitors in the initial round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd bounced back from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her debut as a pro. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via first-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her rise up to Bantamweight after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to beat McGill. Aspen ended the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won by KO in the 2nd round. As for her final fight for the promotion, she fought Sijara Eubanks via an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round at the end of the second. She remained dominant and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd won the fight in round one and was awarded the performance of the Night Bonus. The first big fight she fought in was in her next fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. The victory of Ladd was a unanimous decision, as well as her Fight of the Night award was awarded to each fighter. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to finish Ladd and her streak.
