Jennifer Garner is a West Virginia native, born in Houston on the 17th April in 1972. William John Garner is her father. He was a chemical engineer for Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner taught in a college near her. Wanting to follow his father's path her graduation was an engineering degree in chemical technology. In order to pursue her dream as an actor, she relocated to New York to try her chances in the film industry. While appearing in Broadway shows, she worked as a waitress. Her husband of the first time Scott Foley met her on the television show "Felicity," where she played a cameo. Garner had her first big performance with "13 going on thirty" the romantic comedy that was widely praised. She played a teenage girl trapped inside her body as an adult. Garner chose Gary Winick to direct the film, and they continued to look for other projects together until his passing away in the year 2011. The year 2009 was the first time Garner was named an artist ambassador by Save the Children U.S.A. This role involves encouraging nutrition and literacy across the United States and early schooling.
